It's no secret I am no fan of winter. An anti-fan. Winter-phobic. Don't ski, don't snowboard, they closed down the city skate rink and one a season is plenty of snowmen for me to build. But at least once it snows it's pretty out there. Even worse than being knee deep in February snow and totally over it all is Being ankle deep in late November/ early December mud and frozen slush ad being surrounded by grey and brown and bare branches and dead leaves and the lawn turns brown and even the weeds die back. Blah blergh brown boring depressing brown. You even begin to feel that brown is a feeling
I decided to do some colour therapy. Wear all my bright coloured clothes (bonus- it gets you at least 5 minutes of small talk in senior English classes as they all comment that they can't wear those colours anymore or that it's an unusual time of the year to wear those colours etc etc) and focus on the colours around me (even if it's like playing where's wally sometimes...) and this is one of my favourite splashes of colour around:
I took this picture a couple of weeks ago and I keep coming back to it. The colours are just so pretty and bright and happy. I feel like the blue blue sky goes on forever.
All the way to Spring hopefully!
