Peter piper's pretty peppers

This year we grew a tonne of peppers.

Chili peppers, green, red, yellow, banana, birds eye and a medium heat one.

With the hottest September in 100 years behind us the peppers are still going well.

And so we are inundated with them at the moment.

I made green chili tobasco and red chili tobasco and sweet chili sauce and a new one this year- a red pepper sauce with mild peppers.  I'm not sure how I'm going to use it but it is pretty yummy.

And each time I'm out there (again and again and again)
I think how pretty the pepper plants are.

we got lots this year too and I only had three plants. The typhoon wiped out our plants last Sunday and now I have 56 piman sitting on my kitchen bench crying out to be used but what to make!!

I must give the sweet chili sauce a go next year

and yes they are pretty, I can understand why there is also an ornamental chili plant

regular green piman? For those I dice super fine and freeze as is (raw) then whip out for fried rice/ omelette filling/ pasta sauce booster etc etc. Last year I tried smoking and skinning andpreserving but they really weren't sweet like red pepper or hot like chili and it was a lot of work for a very mild/ bland product. What did you do with yours?
