Snow peas in (very late) rice bran fertiliser and rice straw weed mulch and moisture keeper (nothing like recycling, huh?)
The beans are in- snake beans on the left and bush beans and soy beans on the right.
Plastic town. I know, I know, not very attractive or natural but it works so well and I'm a sellout for a good harvest... from the far left- snow peas, cucumber frame, tomato bed (awaiting frame) spinach and rainbow swiss chard that we wintered, spare beds awaiting ploughing (after I transplant the selfsown tomatoes and chillies!) red, brown and white onions, a row each of radishes, salad daikon, salad turnip, mini carrots and baby beets and then the second row of 5 hole mulch has parsnip in on e row and nothing but opportunity in the rest. Front right is two types of corn. We are going to stagger pant corn this year in three plantings to try and eke out the corn season.
Phew.... and that's where we are to date.
