catching up in photos day 2

A day at Lake Nojiri.

Lake Nojiri is this portal that takes you out of Japan and into some dream of an English speaking country from an imagined bygone era when everyone had lots of free time, a nice word and a smile for all they met and the desire to just sit and chat. All that and it's only 90 minutes up the road- bonus!

The girls had a great time with friends they've known since they were 6mo in Meg's case and before they were born in Amy's!

GO the dolphin!! I deflated ours a couple of days ago as, according to hub, summer is now officially over and he wont be taking the kids till the beach this weekend, even if it is 34 degrees.

See this is the kind of place Nojiri is- that wasn't even our dolphin. People just leave their water toys at the shore (mostly with their cabin number on it but not always) and the kids are free to borrow what they like. sigh.... Utopia. And I mentioned it was all in English???

And as for the end of summer thing- big hoohaa at the kinder as the kids are getting an extra week of swimming. It's hotter than the last two weeks but that's beside the point- summer is over- why are they swimming????
