day labourers

Got mum and dad working for me today. Does that make me a hirer of itinerant workers?

We really got stuck into the much neglected garden and in a busy morning weeded metre high weeds from all around the garden, ripped up the bean plants, the 1.5m plus tall salad greens, harvested masses and masses of veg and then harvested some more for good measure.

cherry tomatoes, broccoli, goya, cucumbers, eggplant, red yellow and green peppers, chilli peppers etc etc.

Now I ache, I'm exhausted and still have to think of ways to use them all!

knowing what size goya usually are, are your cucumbers genetically engineered? HUGE.

Got a shock to find peppers not berries :D

Is that whole shopping bag chillis??? I thought I did well with one plant....I'm eager to hear what you did do with all that!! Atleast there are more hands on deck to help out :)
Happy Cooking

chilli peppers look amazing. are you eating them fresh or drying them up?

Last year we got tons of chilis. We dried them and hung them on string (boy were my fingers sore after threading all those Thai chilis). But they lasted the whole year and it was easy to have them hanging in the kitchen and cut one off whenever I needed it. Plus they look pretty.

I see pickled cukes in your future.

I got a shock to find peppers and not berries too! Love it when you change your top pic- always makes me jealous of living in the city though!

Great haul! And nice work putting your parents to work!
